Cut out randomly, no ignition and cat overheating symbol

After rebuilding the head, I drove it to work the next day and it randomly cut out in traffic and put the cat overheating symbol on?

Never have had a cat and it's never been plugged in.

All wiring seems fine?

That light comes on when you have an alternator issue which would also explain the cutting out.
