Hey guys, just took delivery of my 96 glanza v last week..... but unfortunatly there is one thing that not only getting on my tits but worrying me a little too.

Theres a hissing/sucky type noise coming from the engine, i first noticed it while it was stood idling after id been driving and the engine was nice and warm, i popped open the bonnet to have a poke around (like u do) and it seems to be comming from the top right of the engine as u look at it.

This is only present when the engine is warm, temp guage reads a little under halfway and the rad fan kicks in so it aint overheating. As soon as the engine is switched off the noise stops. Utterly confused, anything to worry about or is this normal.

Not a good thing to have as your first post :angry:

does it have an after market air filter?

if so thats the hissing noise

sorted it... found a hose from the wastegate split and letting air escape. replaced the hose now all is well
