AlexGTAdv Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 Have just bought a HKS SSQV dump valve with a starlet flange. Went to fit it to my EP82 and i'm not sure what to do with the pipe that comes from the intercooler pipe? I blocked it off and when i revved it up it chattered like mad and didn't sound like anything was comming out of the dump valve, just the air filter! Can any body shead any light?? Cheers. ecksjay Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 it should be mounted to the pipe coming off of the intercooler pipe, thats what is pressurised and activates the BOV :/What the chuff have you mounted it to? hahaha!If you blocked it off, you were technically running no dump valve, thus getting 'turbo stall' as air returned back into the turbo compressor.Show us a pic of how you've mounted it, because at present, its very wrong.
