Grooved disc fitting

Im currently swapping my stock disc/rotors for grooved ones and was wondering if there is a right/wrong way to have the grooves facing?

They are currently fitted like this as you look at the wheel closest to the driver http://smokie.ws/Mini/Disc1.jpg

Is there any advantage/disadvantage to having the grooves face the opposite direction?

I fit mine the opposite way to that, braking is improved,wear is increased a bit and are a bit noisier under braking but your way is the usual way people fit em. ;)
