De-Cat..................is it worth it?

Im looking at buying a de cat, but I've been thinking bout just gutting mine, saves me money and i can get new gaskets n that for it.

fire away if your skint, its what i did to start with, but a decat would work better if you want the mos gains

nah its not because im skint, just think id save maself the cash to blow on summut else, i would of thoughtit does the same thing if i gut it.

Rich gained 10bhp by decatting his UK spec n/a.

No increase in torque, but didn't lose any either

Might be best though to get an exhaust place if you have one near you to make up a flanged pipe and cut out the decat and put flanges on it so you can put it back in easily if have any problems with MOT

Costs a lil' bit more but far more useful

(is what will do with mine when I get to that point)
