How do you adjust the handbrake on a GT?

Hi peeps

Probs isnt the right place to post but didnt know where to do it! Just wonderin if anyone knows how to adjust the handbrake on a GT, mine's a mark 1. I'm havin to give the handbrake a good yank to get it to even hold the car on small gradients. anyone done it before?

if you look through the gap where your handbrake goes into the centre console you will see a 10mm nut with a bolt coming through it. just get a deep socket and tighten it up clockwise. but not to much. then pull it on and a off a few times and make sure when its off you can still roll the car backwards and forwards.
