what power you guys putting out.

Toby, I've seen a Stock CT-9 put out 200hp at the Flywheel. So you can break the 200 barrier with a Standard turbo and appropriate management,

That's what I mean buddy your not wrong as you've physically seen it but dyno's vary so much and the results can be altered to make the customer feel great about the results otherwise they go away feeling like they have been had. It's pretty common knowledge in the dyno business that this is done, two of my very good friends are dyno operators you see. We got 200.9bhp and the next owner who bought the demo no2 got 232.5bhp, see what I mean, same car, same spec, similar conditions and 30hp more! I knew our operator and wanted the most accurate results possible.

I can assure on an engine dyno in simulated conditions you would never see 200hp on average modified Starlet with stock CT9. Yes you could run crazy octane fuel and heaps of ignition advance which would give you some mad figures but in reality it's not going to happen, it's hardly the "norm" and doesn't set a good example for the rest of the field. All pub talk at the end of the day but interesting none the less!

Hope you are well bud loving the drift beast, we should meet one day in the summer for some sideways antics in the KP!

Dub Se7en's 4EFTE'd n/a was running at 202.5 with a CT9 on it. The turbo was maxxed out at that power as it was smoking a little on full throttle. Still the fastset Starlet i have had the pleasure on getting a ride in. OH!!!!!

My setup is similar to yours Ross:

Ported CT9

Japspeed FMIC

Autobhan mani

Gutted cat

Custom cat back, 2.5" no restrictions (Mega loud :))

HKS actuator set at 12 psi

No dump valve (chatter FTW )

I think thats it.

Could anyone take a guess at my power figure as well (sorry for the hijack -_-)

@ Love - Yes i ported it myself. It was a bit crude as i got one of my dads drills and just widenened the hole. Im getting a dremel and some grinding stones in a few days to port it and polish it properly though. Get more ommmphhhh. Idrees kindly pointed out the other day that i should have kept the head off my old nakered engine. I could have reconditioned it then ported and polished that as well. Im a tool i know.

I've also not got the mahoosive amount that the Blitz decats cost. Gutted cat is pretty much the same, well except for the flow benifits of actually having a decat :p.

Maybe getting an FPR soon anyway to whack it up to 1 bar. Im going to be a bit cautious though as i don't want it off the road.

I have to get mine dynod at some point. I really want to know what it is running at. I'll probably get it done when i get an FPR so i can get the fueling set up at the same time. It would be interesting to see what im running at.
