Hi All,some Advice Needed On Buyin My First Glanza

hi all, im lookin at a 98 glanza v auto that ive seen on the net,this would be my first import car,emailed the feller about service history he said it had service stickers and would pass a bimta (just had 2 look that up) is this enough or should it have paper work? i belive he has just impoted it (its of a car front).also after lookin up the glanzas all week i noticed the steringwheel is difarant toyota wheel?sort of three spoke but has a air bag did thay do difarant wheels,anyideas ? thanks inadvance

the guy selling it should have it checked then it will be bimta approved

Dont worry about the steering wheel mate all eps from 98-99 came with them and im pretty sure all glanzas 98-99 came with passenger air bags (although i have seen a few 97 spec ones with the passenger airbag) aswell as the obvsious facelift.

for a rough idea on what they look like heres a beaut of a 99 model (last few that rolled off the line)

nice 1 cheers the 1 im lookin at is a red 1 its on ebay up for £3195 with only 23000 on the clock,anyone reckon this looks a good deal?

If memory serves me right i got my N/A from there...well my parents went to go get it tbh he discription of the car was very very poor it was extreemly dirty inside and when questioned about the damage to the drivers side passenger door (i have a 5dr) which he failed to mention on the web discription he wouldn`t even decrease the price not to mention all the other swirl marks that were on the car (check my build for before and after pictures) also one or two other little things the front wipers were duff, no mention of the prev owner having a dog.

he did deliver the car on time...i was happy with the car it took me a full two days to clean it, i still find the odd dog hair

That garage is about 20mins from me, I pop in every now and then to check out their glanza's. Really need to go and check the car out as pictures can be deceiving! Next time I go past I will take look, PM me and I can shed some light for you, so to speak

full service history, every year MOT and full service in july (he did like 3-6k a year in it)

5dr, elec sun roof, cd player, rear speakers, front elec windows, central locking, rev counter

all for £1200? yes please!

when i got it the ashtray had never been opened and the lighter had never been used as well as the rear ashtray, the rear speakers had never been used (they were unplugged in fact took me 20min to find the cable, his dog chilled on the parcel shelf)

yeah thats is.sounds a bit worrying! sadly can only drive an auto,at the mo im drivein a 97 5door 1.3 cd auto great little car but so slow,

that would be great, im only about an hour away and would defo look before i buy,but if your passin check it out just dont buy it if its a minter
