jim808 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Hi is there a thread to help me fit an actuatorCheers Jamie Quote
Guest Enzo Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 there is not one, i should really get my ass in gear and make one for you guys.what model of ep do you have? Quote
bucketep91 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 the best advice for fitting an actuator is to rip the air con out first. gives you much more room. you cant really go wrong fitting an actuator. when removing the old 1 you remember what youve done then put the new 1 on the same way, the only fiddly bit is the pipes as theres not much room there should be instructions with the actuator if its new, then its just a matter of trial and error when setting the desired level of boost Quote
Guest Enzo Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 also make sure the pipes are on correctly, i did not do this correctly one time and my turbo shat itself byoverboostingremoving the radiator is a good idea also givin you more space to work with Quote
Guest dominodon Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 rember do 1 turn at a time then test the boost to see whats its running at.Shorter the rod= more boostlonger the rod = less bost Quote
bucketep91 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 and dont lose the c clip for the actuator arm! Quote
Steve GT Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 boost guage would be a good idea too to give you an accurate boost readingyou dont want to have it running 1.5 bar on a standard ct9 for example Quote
