EPRALLYE
Not sure if this is a repost, but I've just found some handy info on the 4E-FTE;http://www.tercelreference.com/tercel_info...nfo.html#4E-FTE4E-FTE Specifications:Year: 1989 - 1994Displacement (cc): 1331Horsepower: 135 @ 6400Torque (ft-lbs): 16 @ 4800Bore (mm): 74Stroke (mm): 77.4Compression Ratio: 8.2:1Vavles per Cylinder: 4Valve Angle: 25°Cam Design: DOHCIgnition System: DistributorSpark Plug Gap: .022"Fuel System: Fuel Injected, excess fuel returnHead Gasket Thickness (mm): 1.2Combustion Chamber Volume: 39 ccCars Used In: Starlet GTGeneral Info: Toyota followed similar lines with the 4E-FTE as they did with the 3E-TE. Thus the 4E-FTE is basically a 4E-FE with stronger connecting rods and lower compression pistons. It also has a harmonic damper instead of a normal crankshaft pulley. However, it does share the same head with the 4E-FE, 1st gen 5E-FE, and 5E-FHE. It produces the most stock horsepower of any E series engine. Over time this has become a very popular engine to swap into Tercels and Paseos due to its high stock power output. It is also known to be capable of handling much more power without upgrading stock internals. Similar / Interchangable Parts: Camshafts: 1st gen 5E-FE, 5E-FHE (slightly higher lift / duration)Valvetrain: 1st gen 5E-FE, 5E-FHEHead: 1st gen 5E-FE, 5E-FHEPistons: 1st gen 5E-FE (higher compression), 5E-FHE (higher compression), 2nd gen 5E-FE (higher compression)Connecting Rods: 4E-FE (downgrade) Cheers
