kevink
Went for a test drive yesterday in a V. My girlfriends lil brother is looking to get one, so he brought me along checked it all out and looked all stock, then we went for a drive.even the high and lowboost seemed to be in place, only:1st gear was .3 bar of boost2nd gear and on was .6further along i noticed then when accelerating hard, the boost always spiked up to .8 for just a SLIGHT moment and dropped down straight away to .6Is this usual or is there a leak somewhere or anything else?thanks in advance! kevink
spring worn out or something?Car responded fine and not boost drop higher in the revs, so yeah could be a worn out actuator.Nothing serious probably then?
Steve GT
best way around this is buying an adjustable actuator and boost gauge. this will enable you to keep an eye on the boost levels and the adjustable actuator will hold the boost better cause there stronger than the standard actuators
kevink
boost gauge is in place, hence a know what boostlevels it was hitting. Thanks for the info, actuator is most probably the problem and not such a problem then i.e. replace > done
