Black Vinyl Strip?

I was wondering about a temporary solution to the door frames/pillars to get them black. I'm saving up money to get it done properly but wanna spend money on other things first. So.. was wondering if vinyl tape would do the job? Has anyone done this before and if so where would I get some?

i think it would look tacky in vinyl mate in my opinion

useing that sunstrip vinyl you would end up with joins and they would ruin the effect

surely a bodyshop wouldnt charge a lot to paint them gloss black

i got a quote for £90 to get them sprayed ace, but i got a discount on that price.

Cheers for the advice everyone! It just kills me everytime I go out to the car and see it non gloss black : ( Don't know what to save up for next, skirts and bumper or corolla mani and new panel filter

What? Painting it? Seen a few people who've done it themselves with glossy black spray paint but I just think i'd make a botch of it

You can easily fine it for a temporary job, it's only a small area so you wouldn't see joins.

Go to a sign shop and ask for a couple of meters of offcuts of black vinyl, it will be alot better quality then the ebay stuff, its horrible to work with.
