chr15_7_t_
this is just a question as i got told by an old man that works with me, that the old distributors used to have to be in a certain position etc... is this the same for the starlet or is the only part that needs to be in the right place is the leads?cheers:)
Kennedy
Should imagine the cap would have to be the right way around aswell.sure there is numbers on itEDIT: just looked at my new dizzy cap and there is numbers and an arrow on it so i reckon it will have to go a certain way. chr15_7_t_
when i took the head off my car all i did to it was mark the leads 1,2,3,4 and take out the 2 bolts holding it on...is that ok or does it have to be put back on in a certain position? ive not touched the cap itself just the 2 bolts that hold it on... Glanza_cl
if you'v taken out the two bolts you may have moved the timming on the dizzy slightly which can mean it's running advanced or retarded. you want to make sure if you'v put it all back to gether that the timming is back to what it was before. the dizzy cap itself doesnt realy matter as long as you get all the right leads going into the right dizzy ports.
