Blue Icarian Wings
While poking around my engine bay I've picked up some question, not big enough for their own topics, but bugging me none-the-lessSo with Reference to the following diagramsA Are these pipes to equalise pressure on the rocker side of the valves to make it easier to open them? and if so why one each side of the throttle bodyB Whats this thing coming out of the throttle body? (thermometer?)C The pipe between the throttle body and the air box, what is it called? (you have no idea how annoying this is,.......)D What the hell is this for?! It's not connected to anything or has any sensor plugged in as far as I can see, is it some kind of air reservoir?AlsoE Advice on best way to remove oil/grime (also has rust colour marks where the mani bolts to the engine) from my new mani before painting itAnswears on a postcard, to the usual address[/blue Peter]Thanks in advance and if anybody else has some questions, why not share them! adrenalinmotorsports
C: I know it as is the air intake duct, don't know if that's correct or not, but it's the pipe that brings air into the engine, so I suppose it's right D: It's the resinator on the air intake, i think it's supposed to regulate the air flow into the engine.Hope that helps somehow,Regards,Craig.
