Thought I'd introduce myself

Recommended Posts

Good evening folks,

Thought i better finally say hello since I've been silently nosing my way about this forum for a while.

Some of you may know me from *cough* the other site (TGTT) *cough* but i've been lurking about in the shadows here for a while now too. :)

So anyway my names Wallace i stay in a lil tow in Angus called Kirriemuir and go to uni in Edinburgh and i drive a Black 1997 Glanza V, had it for almost a year now, and its still not running properly! To cut a long story short i bought it from one of the well known dodgy garages in bradford (not Keighley t other one!) and have had a mountain of repair bills since. I've done a few lil mods here an there, and hopefully soon i will get the car finally the way i want it, the mods at the moment are:

-Custom Cat back stainless steel exhaust with a slash cut 4 inch tail pipe

-Apexi filter mounted behind the grill

-HKS Actuator

-HKS FCD

-Cusco front and rear braces

-Nomad racing A-Pillar gauge pod fitted with Autometer Y~Ultra Lite II Boost and A/F ratio gauges

-'98 Glanza clear indicators

-Reflet rear lenses

-Shitty kerbilicious 15 in TSW rims

So thats me an my car, I'll post pics in the aprropriate place. Look out for me moaning about my various car problems and pleas for somebody to get me some decent suspension.

Cheers

Wallace

Cheers guys,

Ye gettin fed up wi the other site. Might well be up for that meet if my cars any better, should be by then.

Too much trouble mate, was all shade stuff that had been dodgily covered up, think the previous owner shunted a kerb because all the wheels were out of allignment, the abs got damaged the wheel hub was bent airbags dont work horn was missing and all the shit out the steering column too, had a crack on the cylinder head- exhaust port though so nothing major just leaked a lil when cold. It was all pretty dodgy as i said, the engine management, airbag, and abs warning light bulbs had all been taken out the dash and basically looked like it had a bodge repair job done.

Almost all sorted now, except was gettin the cylinder head replaced 2 weeks ago and the garage i had it at did a shit job and skimmed the head withiout fitting a thicker gasket so it went pop, so its not driveable at the moment.

On the upside got a few bits an pieces to fit once its fixed (again), so should be a bit more fun soon. :)

Far too much! Near £600 and that was me providing the head, but the garage did work they shouldnt have to the head by getting it machined. A trusty source said it should only cost about £200 if you provide the head, and if you give head to the mechanic it might be even cheaper! :) (Sorry lame couldn't resist though)
