tonight my pasenger side driveshaft came apart.. it came apart on the joint that is closet to the box..i am just wondering if this has hapend to anyone els and what they done to fix it..sort the old driveshaft? or get a new one?

the old one dosnt look in bad shape but as i havnt had the boot apart before i dont no if ther should be a springle in the joint?

if i need a new boot-kit whats rufly the prices and best place?

if i need a new driveshaft?..whats 2nd hand prices or new prices if you can get?

was it the iner joint or outer? eather way they both have circlips the only way they can come out

is if they have'nt been put in right so take your shaft out and have a look hope that helps :p

Did it make any noise such as clicking noise when turning? If so your CV could be damaged and you'd need to replace it.

Otherwise you can buy a new CV boot for about £6 and get it fitted for £10 or so.

If you need an inner CV or a driveshaft, I have spares here.

Yeah thats the inner CV, sounds like the boot has come off mate so the grease may have leaked out. If it has then you will want to put new grease in because it could get damaged without it.

I came across this, also found it to be loosing a bearing from the inner boot on passenger side so changed the shaft.

Guessing your sorted now but im curious to know if anyone else has seen this =/
