chr15_7_t_ Posted December 6, 2009 Share Posted December 6, 2009 tonight my pasenger side driveshaft came apart.. it came apart on the joint that is closet to the box..i am just wondering if this has hapend to anyone els and what they done to fix it..sort the old driveshaft? or get a new one?the old one dosnt look in bad shape but as i havnt had the boot apart before i dont no if ther should be a springle in the joint?if i need a new boot-kit whats rufly the prices and best place?if i need a new driveshaft?..whats 2nd hand prices or new prices if you can get?any help is good help thanks. Idrees Posted December 6, 2009 Share Posted December 6, 2009 Did it make any noise such as clicking noise when turning? If so your CV could be damaged and you'd need to replace it.Otherwise you can buy a new CV boot for about £6 and get it fitted for £10 or so.If you need an inner CV or a driveshaft, I have spares here. Idrees Posted December 6, 2009 Share Posted December 6, 2009 Yeah thats the inner CV, sounds like the boot has come off mate so the grease may have leaked out. If it has then you will want to put new grease in because it could get damaged without it. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
