hi guys,

i'm new to the forum but im just looking for some help!!!

i'm looking at using a starlet sr as a base for a turbo transplant and i was just wondering about the running gear. :angry2:

i just wanted to ask whether or not id need to change the engines mounts to mount the Glanza V turbo engine into the SR and also would the standard gear box be suitable?

i know id have to change the looms, ecu ect ect but i was only wondering about the lump!

any advice would help! :angry2:

many thanks,

Matt

hey mate, first off welcome to the fourms.

answering your questions a glanza and gt turbo engine both use the same engine mounts so you have nothing to worry about there.

also you can use your current c series box, while its not as strong as a c52 or c56 4e-fte box it will stil hold.

do you have the car yet?

Not yet bud but im shopping around seeing what i can find parts wise!

all going well i should be looking at having the car & the engine come end of January or possibly February, all depending! but hopefully be a fun project!

before looking at the starlets i owned proudly an alfa 146, beaut of a car but being a typical alfa pulled a funny one on me and bills shot through the roof and had to see her go :angry2:
