Hello, I have been asked to forward the following message to the admin on behalf of the organisers of the Toyota Sprint Series.

Pete.

QUOTE

Dear Toyota Enthusiast,

The Toyota Sprint Series has been formed out of an obsession for Toyota cars and motor sport by Barry Cross and Adrian Smith who share the same passion. By teaming up with track day expertâ??s Javelin, a professional team has been formed to bring the enthusiast an alternative motor sport experience.

The Toyota Sprint Series is designed to be an affordable first step into motor sport for Toyota enthusiasts and is open to all Toyota Car Clubs. Entry fees are around £100 per round, and all drivers irrespective of experience are welcome.

The reasoning behind this personal invitation is to declare the event open to all Car Clubs who are involved with Toyota vehicles.

It is our aim to create a great championship that will help bring the various car clubs together and to further the Toyota tuning scene within the UK.

2010 Championship

The 2009 Championship has now concluded and we are all looking forward to 2010 with great enthusiasm. It is our intention to keep the same successful format comprising of 6 rounds (5 to count), starting in March and ending with a final sprint in October.

Round 1 21st March 2010 Rockingham, Corby, Northamptonshire

Round 2 4th April 2010 Barkston Heath, Grantham, Lincolnshire

Round 3 6th June 2010 Sculthorpe, Fakenham, Norfolk

Round 4 24th July 2010 Barkston Heath, Grantham, Lincolnshire

Round 5 19th September 2010 Woodbridge, Eyke, Suffolk

Round 6 16th October 2010 Tockwith, York, Yorkshire

The 2010 dates have now been announced and registration is open â?? visit the website for further details of how to enter www.toyotasprint.com.

We will also promote the series at some of the high profile summer shows.

Club Invitation

Another addition we wish to introduce for 2010 is the Individual Club Championship awards, which is essentially a Car Club Championship run within the TSS championship. This idea has proven successful in 2009 with the GT Four Owners Club awarding the fastest GT4 and the most improved GT4.

We would like to extend the opportunity in 2010 to all Toyota Car Clubs.

Eg: Supra Owners Club could run their own championship to find the best sprint Supra, maybe 3 trophies, best turbo, best na, or best retro etc.

Or Starlet Turbo Club could find the best EP82 and best EP91 etc.

Celica Club, the best Gen 5 / 6 / 7 etc.

Yaris Club, Best 1.0, 1.3, 1.5 etc

MR2 Club, best MK1, MK2, na / turbo

Lexus Club, best IS200 etc

Our unique pointâ??s system is designed to give both class positions as well as overall positions regardless of class, thus making it feasible for a championship to be run within the main championship.

We would also encourage clubs to consider prizes as well as end of year awards.

The opportunities are there for clubs to support active club members and we are very willing to help and discuss any ideas your particular club may have.

Further information on the series can be found at

TSS is absolutely committed to ensuring the success of this championship, if your club would like to share in its success and are interested in getting involved; please do not hesitate to contact either Barry Cross or Adrian Smith for further information.

Yours Sincerely

Adrian Smith
