chr15_7_t_ Posted February 23, 2010 Share Posted February 23, 2010 i have 2 turbos...one turbo shaft is fine but exhaust housing(wastegate) is totaly wrecked...barely holds 6 psi of boost(suspect the actuator is weak to)other turbo... suspeced bearings are going..but exhaust housing is in good working condition along with the actuator.can i make one out of the two?if i can is it easy to do so myself...would i need to buy new parts? keirz Posted February 25, 2010 Share Posted February 25, 2010 are they both the same variation of ct9? or is one an A and the other a B?if they are both the same then its just a case of undoing the clamp holding the turbine housing on and carefully and evenly tapping it off. then just swap them over and put it back together.as long as your not stripping the core down then you wont need anything else doing.
