Raz
Car went for an MOT not so long ago. Today i got to take it to interview at surrey university, i was getting late so on the A3 gave it some beens, it had power reduction after 50mph, yet boosting fine? You can hear the turbo working lovely but the speed is barely increasing. done a shift down and it began going slightly faster?? but still not the same? Gave it to me bro to drive so i can confirm that it wasn't me and he sed yea, deffo power loss after 50mph upto 50 it is fine after that it just "no go"I know the garage i gave it to ragged it, there is oil coming from oem re-circu valve, lots of oil dumped by BOV and oil around 2 bolts of rocker cover! WTF can i do about this? can i legally go and cut there dicks off? fucking wankersI'm thinking of going TD04 what other mods will i have to do in order for the car to run fine?if there is too much shit i need to do, might just find ANOTHER CT9
Asad
I`d never give my car to anyone except my old man, how come you didnt wait there for your MOT to be done??
Raz
it took them 11 days to get it to MOT standard ?failed by 2 pages worth lol
Kennedy
You need to find a local decent person/garage to do you MOT's, mine gets done by a friend do I'd trust him not to rag it.If you don't like the look of them..stay with the car
AZE@A&G_TUNING
next time come see me, only in egham
Raz
i could do, egham isn't far. i might try a friend of ours who does MOTs aswell, and he would have gave it back the same day because he would have worked on it at night etc. but my bro did not agree to that for some reason. However do i have a leg to stand on now if i go and confront the guy who was working on my car? The other thing is the Trip meter was reset, somehow the fuel level went lower and for some reason the high boost button was not pressed in anymore?
Asad
11days!!! jobo
what did they say way needing done that took 11days , i work in a garage and anyone else that does will know that 11 days is a shit load of time to have your car, did they go and pic up the bits from japan, all cars should be locked up in the garage at night.hate to say it but some one has been driving your car about, was there alot more miles on the clock when you got it backno wonder garages get tarred with the same brush, we arent all dicks i treat cars like i would want mine to be treatedlol rant
AZE@A&G_TUNING
probly abit late now but you could of looked at the milage on the failure and seen what it was when you picked it up
Guest ep82_girl
bloody hell 11 days long enough!!!mine just had an mot and flew through no advisories (sorry to rub it in) if you think they damaged your car cant you report them to vosa??xxx
Raz
i'm not sure, what the actuall millege was. i would have known if my bro didn't drive it but he did. i'll see what i can do through Vosa i know the millege when i gave it to my bro to take to MOT station. but i know he did drive it about (no he did not rag it because he is the one who pays for the cost of repairs, unless it is a mod lol)I know they have driven it there is no doubt. i'll go to Vosa site and check it out.edit i'm pretty sure i had seen the car 2 times while with my mates getting lift from them. but i just thought to my self that i must be missing the starlet lol. ( i only saw the back of it going throught a round a bout).another edit I also went and cleaned the oil then ragged it abit my self (revving harder) and came back and not a drop of oil to be seen. How would you explain this? was it taken pass the redline or something?i'm fukcing pissed off now! Paid them to fuckin sort the car, they fucking wreck it and give it back to me. DavidAshton
I think your going a bit crazy accusing the garage going on about vosa already, im not saying the garage didnt do anything but chill out first. What did it fail on MOT wise? what work did the garage carry out?Is it the first time its been driven in a while? Has the battery been disconnected, re-setting the ecu? Are a ignition leads connected well? what boost was it running? whats it boosting now?It could be a million and one things yet, dont always asume the worst.
Raz
It was driven everyday untill it was dropped off for "MOT" BAttery wasn't disconnected because my sterio still had it's settings intact. Everything is fine just not the same as before if you know what i mean. Boost is fine aswell. I allready Emailed Vosa before reading your reply but yea, i need to calm down abit. I don't know what it failed on, but i saw the 2 pages of things if failed by.

Raz
The car is fine now. Seems to be kicking ass again. I was only unhappy because i had lost so much boost, i think somehow the air intake was being slowed down. Probably deposits of oil from where they had been revving it hard.
