Does it settle down once warm?

If so it's fine, happens to alot of people :harhar:

yes does settle down after a short period, is there no way of solving the problem though as want my engine running perfect or is it not a big deal

i thought all starlets did that. Mine idles at about 1500-1700 and drops as it gets warmer and warmer, doubt it is anything to worry about.

Its the coolant temp sensor telling the rest of the electronic stuff that the cars cold and it needs to warm up....i.e idle high get the oil/water warmed for better fuel effeciency reduced engine wear

by no means is it a bad thing totally normal :harhar:
