Spuddy Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Well finally got the head off and turns out the Head gasket was not blown on her, so I'm either lookin at a cracked head or a something in the lower engine block which would not be good!Got the head away being pressure tested and a few other wee things while its witht he guys, if it the bottom end thats wrecked then guess I'd be forced to put the 1.5 bottom end into er lol! Spuddy Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 Hopefully find out what condition the heads in today, the guy workin on it says theres not one sign of wear on the engine anywhere which is good, only 55k miles on er so not to bad.Bit the bullet and posted my turbo off today, getting it Hybrid, just incase it was the turbo causing her to smoke lol! Spuddy Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 Sent it to Turbo force, can't remember what all he's doing this he said, cut back fins, larger compressor wheel, new bearings and seals, not sure what all else, said it should be good for up to 20psi. £500inc Vat and thats with delivery and pickin included.I'll tell you next week if they're any good lol.
