Glanza_cl
Oh rite i was unaware of that ;) correct me if i am wrong though but not dumping the air and passing it back through the turbo gives you more turbo lag when you go to boost again???not necessarily... the air doesn't pass back through the turbo as such but kinda gets chopped in the blades then when your back on throttle you already have pressure in the intake.there was a comparison somewhere but given the situation on a drag strip (blocked dv) and Vent to atmosphere dv (VTA) there was a noticeable increase in gear change time and response from the car with no dv. so it can aid spool, yes you may slow the comp blade momentarily but the increased pressure when back on throttle over comes that minor slowed rotation.damage will only occur on older style turbos's with not so great cartridge bearings... which as it happens the ct9 falls into but you run such a low boost compared to say 1.7bar in my Subaru or 2bar from a garrett gt30 that there is little damage to be caused with a little comp stall

Gonna stick with my dv as i paid over 200 quid for it lol
