Idrees Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 how do you go about removin the slats in the grill?if you cut them out doesnt it leave holes at the edge? What you do is...Cut the slat our with a blade or whatever, but not right at the end of it. Like 3/4mm from the edge. Then get a flat metal piece or something of the sort and heat it like mad. I mean very very hot. Then press the 3/4mm thats left from the slat on the bumper with it. Will be flat, just how ya want it to be!! It might need a touch of paint over it afterwards but its not necessary!Hope it helps!P.S -- When we was doing the SR's, we set up a garden fire with cardboard and wood JUST to heat up the metal rod, the SR's bumpers got to be perfect! ;) Quote
Tommy_G Posted December 15, 2006 Author Posted December 15, 2006 cheers dude. blow torch would have been useful then? ;)they look so much beta minus the slats Quote
Idrees Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Yeo blowtorch will be perfect, we would have used that but it seemed to have gone for a walk somewhere! And i agree, looks so much better minus slats! Quote
