well last few days every now and again when i change first and second gears its felt stick and hard then today as i was driving put foot on clutch herd a nice metalic noise and then ma car wouldnt go in first or 2nd messed round with gear stick pumping clutch and what not and finaly got it to go in third gear then had to stop and went to put it in first gear was pretty sticky but it went in then after that it was fine gears were smooth no noise at all drove to work not a prob on way back was tiny bit sticky putting it in first when i was almost home but nothing to bad taking it to garage first thing tomorow but anyone go any ideas of what it could be just had a 6puk clutch put on it and gearbox oil change some times when i take it out of gear it feels like it gets stuck coming out of a gear if i jiggle gearstick about a bit it comes free

Was the clutch in good condition, did you check the springs on it? I had a similar problem with an Exedy paddle clutch and it turned out the centre spline was loose, even though it was brand new.

Have you bled the clutch? It may be worth checking as this can cause it to be weird too.

not sure i didnt fit the clutch but the garage commented on what a good clutch it was

gonna get them to bleed it and check oil level of gearbox to be sure i herd something about a lil cube in the gear box selector any idea if this could cause an issue or how i would no if it was worn?

Yeah that could have an effect but it would slowly appear over time, I didn't think it could suddenly occur. However if they removed this off the gearbox when fitting the clutch (highly unlikely) then that could be the issue. You need to undo the gear selector on the gearbox iirc and you can then move it to a different position to see if its makes a difference.

went to garage today and bled the clutch looked at sugar cube thing and cant see any wear and had a quik look at the gearbox oil and that seemed fine

anyone got any other ideas lol kinda stuck on this one

also when we bled the clutch i noticed guy used dot5 fluid could that be anything to do with it i no zero about brake fluid but every1 seems to go on about 5.1 lol
