jezza
The most common method is to weld a plate between the exhaust and turbo flanges. Quick and simple to do... If you know a welder!

If you know a welder!ah i see, could weld it myself but i havent done any welding for years lolI was thinking maybe weld a plate from the front of the turbo flange and weld it to the 2 front runners ? ? ?I dont know allot about welding or metal propertys ect, but would adding an additional weld over the existing ones do any harm ? Omar
This is the method I will be using this weekend for if everything goes according to plan. I hope this helps.
Carl.
That's bracing the turbo to stop it putting pressure on the oil feed.
Idrees
That's bracing the turbo to stop it putting pressure on the oil feed.It also takes weight off the manifold hence it could help to prevent it from cracking ;)
Carl.
But at the same time stopping the turbo pulling down on the mani, but a braced decat/standard cat does this anyway
nastyrash 2003
yep som of the manis are very thin so to weld direct to the runers would be a bad idea just making more weak lines. so this does make more sence.
