Is your air filter relocated? What boost are you running?

Apparently heat wrapping your exhaust manifold helps reduce lag, the theory behind this... The heat wrap will keep the exhaust gases HOT and therefore the gases can move quicker and help your turbo spool faster. (i don't know how correct this is lol)

Running slightly lean(but safe) helps lower lag because the EGT is higher. Don't go crazy lean, The engine will go bang? = :'( Better exhaust manifold (less restrictive) lets the car breath better. An EBC will help as well. And remember a big FMIC will increase the lag. Not allot though.
