sdutton007
Hi,When my ep82 front brakes get warm, they start to rub - the hotter they get the more they rub. They got red hot earlier and the car wouldnt move at all until about 30 mins later when they had cooled enough.Anyone got any ideas why they are doing this and what i need to do to fix it?Thanks
ecksjay
new discs and pads, or the fluids is shot, or, the calipers themselves need a rebuild.
sdutton007
i've ordered new discs and pads because this problem has destroyed the old discs and pads..... they were fine before that. Brake fluid level is fine. How do i rebuild calipers and would I be better off just getting new calipers?

Idrees
Yep. Unless you can get your current ones refurbished or something, but i think it would probably be cheaper to get hold of some second hands one.Search on toyotagttubo.com and your guaranteed to find a pair. Ichiban
Pads may be sticking in the carriers. take the pads out, and clean the areas where the pads sit in the caliper carriers (clean the carriers also) when rebuilding, use some copper grease on those areas. also clean the sliders
