Which oil pump do I need? Pics inside

Recommended Posts

is that the old seal stuck to the block ? im sure when i did mine one side was smooth.

You sure? Or is that the front crankshaft oil seal?

Im guessing I need the one with the seal on pump, but need to be sure

i could be completely wrong but i always thought the one that was sometimes on the pump and sometimes on the block was the little o ring that goes round the actual pumping part. the crank seal that you have pointed out is that not always on the pump ?

All of the above is complete nonsense...

The seal highlighted above is the INNER CRANK SEAL....

The OIL PUMP you need is the one with THE SEAL ON THE BLOCK.

You can clearly see the seal on the block.... I just received the exact same oil pump from tm developments.

been to the shed and took some pictures. the crank seal is not the one that is different. just as id hoped the one in my shed is opposite to urs. me seal is in the block and my oil pump is smooth with no groove yet still crankseal is on the pump. the one that is different is the little thin o ring. however in this case it wouldnt have mattered as your conclusion was the right one although for the wrong reason lol
