GT Phayer Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 ive bought some prosport gauges and was just wondering the best place to wire them to so as soon as the ignition comes on they light up. Ive seen that you can use the wire from the cd player as mine is stripped can someone post a picture of what wire it is, also is it ok to link more than one wire to the same place Thanks. Quote
Sparky Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 If your dash mounting them, I would wire them into the hazard switch, my Defi's were wired there. You'll just need a multimeter to test which colour wire is ignition live, I cant remember off the top of my head. Quote
GT Phayer Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 yer they are going on top of the dash can someone tell me what wire it is as i have no power in the car at the moment also do i still have to wire into the ignition switch ?Thanks Quote
Sparky Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Just put them in when the car is running? And no, like I said just use the ignition live wire for the hazard switch, people make things out to be so much harder than what they are lol Quote
GT Phayer Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 im not good at electronics lol just because on the page it says orange to 12v lighting and red to ignition switch Quote
Sparky Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Just about every electric component if not everything in the car will have a ignition live wire so that it comes on with the ignition. Doesnt have to be the actual ignition switch bud Quote
Sparky Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 No probs, I didnt have much clue with electrics either tbh, you just gotta get stuck in lol Quote
