Well i put my car back together last week after fitting my td04 kit. Im only running 0.6bar and its been fine and had no problems. Ive done about 50-60miles and all of a sudden ive lost all power and its miss firing quite alot.

Ive put a new set of plugs in new lamba sensor but didnt make any difference ive just bought another set of leads off here as my car had been fitted with boot style instead of the clip style.

I took the distributor and rotor arm off and gave the connections a good clean but the miss fire is still there.

I will do a compression test on tuesday.

What else could the problem be?

Hi mate,

I had the same problem on my old V turned out to be the headgasket.

Just do a compression test and go from there

yeh i bought a complete set of leads including king lead but still no joy,

Im 99% sure the distributor is the cause as i dont have a spark on all 4. Ive got one being delivered then the garage cant fit that for me.

OK so atleast you no its the sprak that is the issue, trust me when i say this blueprint and toyota own distributor caps are not the same quality, the contacts on the blueprint ones are very poor and dont last, so make sure you fit a toyota own dude and it will last for 4x as long as a blueprint item
