not so PI*SED OFF NOW

Recommended Posts

just put my engine in, was planning top do it with the td04, but its turned out a balls up. waiting on parts for the turbo.

so ive put my ct9 on to try it. have ran it for about ten mins, sound a bit lumpy but that could be down to timing.

checked oil. milky.

so now i dunno what to do. just put my old engine back in. or re do this head gasket.

cant beleive it

the engine thats in it now that ive just put back in is the one the car came with, it overheated big time when i got it, so ive had a new head, had the block checked and it was ok apparently, new head bolts and gasket, and its still not working. cant say how gutted i am tbh

worst thing is i start a new job on monday and need the car for then.

you think i should put another head gasket in this engine?

edit- its running ok, heaters get hot, revs fine, no real issue with any smoke out the exhaust.

it was sat for ages in our garage, and basically ive replaced the head, head gasket and bolts with new. the head was skimmed.

could it just be that the oil is a bit milky because of condensation or anything being in the engine while its been sat? or that because the other mechanic when he took it out didnt remove the old oil, i did it last week?

you think it could be ok? if i cahnge the oil again for some fresh and see if that changes ill know yes??

When you put the new engine in, did you make sure you never mixed up the vacume and water lines at the throttle body?

yeah mate i labelled everything and moved it one by one from one engine to the other.

ive put new oil in, and new filter. and the oils stayed golden ;) so hopefully it was just shit left from before ;)

seriosly hope so :D
