gearbox recon

Can anyone recommend anywhere that recon's gearboxes in the central Scotland had a quote of 700 odd thought that was a bit much any advice would be appreciated .

Hi,

What was all included in the price for the recon/rebuild?

New bearings, syncro rings and magnet?

I offer an overhaul service. I would need to price all bearings etc first, depending on what you want replaced.

It was to recondition the hole unit . 1st to 2nd the syncro rings are knackered 2nd and 3rd on its way to . Dont know if there is anything else needing replaced just thought since it got to get may as well get the hole lot done looking to expensive now .

yup same crunches into every gear grinds into reverse and pops put regularly haha

Hi guys,

Unfortunately genuine parts are pricey but the qaulity is really good.

It may only be around £100 for the build depending on what needs replaced.

All bearings would also be inspected and fresh sealer to reseal the box.

Never had any issues with boxes I have built, and have built many manufacturers.
