  1. Can an admin please close this thread as I have started a new one with new pictures etc
  2. I think its about time I had another bash at a build thread! Its been a long time since I had a serious amount of updates going on here. Some of you may remember me from years ago, I have been in the starlet scene (very much in the background) for a long time, and have attended shows and meets over the years such as JAE and Japfest. I decided in 2016 that it was time to get back into a starlet and it had been so long since I had a car that I had enjoyed! I picked up a 1996 UK EP91 as a rolling shell and decided to use this as a base to build a 2ZZ-GE converted track car. I start
  3. Thanks, Not got as far as the shafts yet, have outer and inner joints that fit but no shaft, I'll be speaking with engineering company's to come up with an option
  4. They seem to be very hard to find or don't exist! Going to rig up a small heater system to keep the screen clear. Plus if I did find a heated screen and it was to crack it would be a nightmare to source and change again!
  5. Has anyone ever sourced a heated front windscreen for their Starlet?
  6. I am finding it pretty difficult! I spot smart colours as standard on other makes but just think it would look daft on the Starlet haha and keep changing back to a white or grey that I know will work
  7. So I'm gonna be painting my shell at some point in my build, it's a bare shell rebuild so have the option of any colour. Which has been one of the hardest choices so far! If you had the choice would you go for a stand out colour that was bright and different or go with something more standard in fear of not being able to pull a new colour off! Any pictures of starlets painted non standard colours?
  8. Realised that I haven't updated this thread in a long time! I have now reshelled the conversion to another 91 as the green one had to much corrosion, I won't blab on about it to much as I have pictures, basically all that has happened is roll cage has been done, floor has been fully repaired of all corrosion and coated and engine is duly mounted. Currently the car is being prepped for paint then it's onto the rebuild You can also follow the build on my Facebook build page https://m.facebook.com/Starlet2zzge/
  9. Has anyone got a uk starlet, ep91 breaking that comes without power steering? Pm me Thanks
  10. Do you still have bits? Is this with or without power steering?
  11. Would it be possible for someone to upload a picture of their rear brake setup on a glanza? Just with the wheel removed to look at the setup, or even better with the disc removed Thanks
  12. It should list it on the VIN plate, it will say C/TRIM or COL or another reference and then a 3 digit code
  13. I just stuck up a few wanted posts and someone contacted me with one. So far it's just rack, I've not encountered an issues other that the bushes/brackets to mount to the firewall are smaller due to being a skinnier rack. I haven't had much to do with the K20 and that doesn't make it a bad engine but I wanted to keep it a Toyota based conversion it's not really a huge job to make mounts, I would like to think a Honda engine would be much more of a head ache Plus I have access to everything Toyota at work which is a big plus
  14. Not sure if you mentioned it earlier in the thread but did you have any issues with bleeding the coolant atol or any cooling issues with using the setup with the alterations you have had to make?
  15. Username now been changed from GBR Motorsport to ToyotaTech15 to keep in line with other places I have updates like YouTube etc in future Thanks Gary
  16. Not a huge lot to update recently. Got a few bits and bobs done over the Christmas period More of the unnecessary parts from the engine bay removed, Different servo and master cylinder fitted Both side engine mounts removed Non PAS steering rack fitted I then decided to first try the engine in the bay for size and see what room I have or don't have haha! Engine will have to be removed again, a few modifications will need to be made before the engine can be test fitted again and begin making mounts
  17. So more progress on the shell Engine bay stripped of old engine and box and extra brackets that aren't needed. Power steering removed
  18. So some more progress recently, Starlet is now in the unit to begin stripping/fabrication/shell repairs before paint Interior all stripped and the pile of parts never to be used again Next is the bay to be stripped
