Help Please!! Weird Noise From Turbo :(

Alright, i recently got my turbo engine in my starlet, when i rev it high and take my foot off the accelerator it sounds like the turbo is spinning in reverse, someone also told me this to.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how can i fix it?

Think thats what it is. Yeah I've got a baileys dump valve but i dont think I've ever heard it make a noise yet, its always just the wastegate i hear. How can i solve this?

its not spinning backwards its just the noise of the air goin back out through the spinning blades. i used to have a baileys dumpvalve and basically just got chatter. maybe try switchin to an adjustable blow off valve and setting the spring softer

most usually tell you in the description when buying. im sure alot of the better quality ones are tho. greddy type s is a great sounding one but be wary as there are fakes goin around. set u back bout 150 sheets tho

ive had a hks ssqv2 on mine when i had a ct9 on, dont run one at all now with the td04., but it was a good quality and good sound, never once leaked

I think all the blitz ones are adjustable - mine is.

Yeah a lot of fake ones on ebay ect, not sure how you tell the difference though.

The HKS dump valves are the ones that make a high pitched chirp noise not a Tshhhhhh

Type in HKS on Youtube to make sure your happy with it, personally I like the sound of the traditional ones.
