Tepson
hi all recently purchased this kit off ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CIVIC-CRX-DEL-...494365627249785just wondering if anybody knows how to attach the fan to the rad core? it came with the fan and the bits to put it together but cant figure out for the life of me how it goes. can the fan be touching the rad or should there be small gap inbetween? anyone bought the same or similar kit? any help appreciated cheers
jezza
Yeah the fan sits centred on the radiator fins. Just pass the 4 tie straps.through the fins and tighten. Cut off excess like a cable tie.

Sparky
Yea thats right mate or so I am told, will soon see when I come to do it lol
rorenapier
Its not just a case of swapping the wires around.Fin direction plays a big part in cooling I did use them cable tie ones, but decided not to, as they can stretch over time and start moving around, then if it gets thar excessive, it will start tearing the core.Make up some simple brackets, job done. BearFaceOfDoom
Is this a good rad then? because a full kit like that is well worth the money but seems a little bit too good to be true :/
rorenapier
The radiator and fan are fine, but id look into making up simple brackets for mounting the rad fan to the rad.
BearFaceOfDoom
Cool I reckon this might be getting purchased soon. Will I need to make up brackets for the rad to sit in? Or do they come with it? (Sorry for the thread jack by the way, It just seems pointless to open a new thread for something too similar lol)
