whiteglanzav
the oil pump is a major contributing factor to engine longevity and overall healthbuy a new one wen u can !!
Lukew360
I wouldn't run the engine on an old oil pump! If it fails your engine will die! You don't want that after you've just spent all that money on getting it forged

TBDevelopments
its more of a case of cleanliness most of the engines i have to rebuild that people have done themselves or had a specialist do and its had issues were down to it not being assembled in a clean environment. scores to the bores, bearings and journals are all down to a poorly cleaned engine.and with an old oil pump your never going to be able to get it spotlessly clean again so i'd wait and just do it properlyTimTB Developments
Steve GT
deffo worth waiting a few weeks and doing it properly mate. whats worse having to wait a few weeks or having to fork out on a new engine
