neilsmith Posted April 18, 2011 Share Posted April 18, 2011 I fitted a hks actuator to my starlet on sunday and no matter how much i adjust it, it just keeps hitting fuel cut and is running 14 psi. With the standard actuator it was running 13 psi.No matter how much i adjust the hks actuator, its still running 14psi and is hitting fuel cut.Someone please help me Thanks. Fro Posted April 19, 2011 Share Posted April 19, 2011 How was the standard actuator boosting to 13psi!? What are you controlling boost with? Do you have supporting mods to run that boost?Making the actuator arm longer will lower the boost, anti clockwise iirc. Have you tried disconnecting it and seeing what happens? A stock actuator shouldnt hit that sort of boost level. Do you have a front mount airfilter, de-cat or manifold?Also have you bi-passed hi-lo boost? PS Shorter arm adds more boost. It keeps the wastegate closed allowing more build up. With a stock actuator boosting that high and a HKS going further I'd suspect a slight crack in the wastegate buddy Quote Link to post Share on other sites
neilsmith Posted April 20, 2011 Author Share Posted April 20, 2011 Its got a rx7 intercooler, autobahn decat, front mount air filter, hi boost/lo boost has been bypassed and its got a cobra sport exhaust. Thats all the mods, it was running fine at 13 psi with the standard actuator, im going to put the standard actuator back on and see how it runs.I picked up anbother turbo last night so im going to port the wastegate on that then swap them over.
