Browner
Hiya lads,I'm in the middle of my forged 5e build. I have a TRD mechanical diff and wanted to use a Cynos box as I almost done the clock in it in 3rd gear and the gears were really long in it so wanted to use it for my Glanza build. The Cynos crown wheel was 6 stud whereas the Glanza crown wheel and my diff were 8 stud so I thought by swapping the crown wheels the diff would fit but now I'm told it won't? Something to do with the main shaft or something aparently?Anyway I have to find a new box asap. I have read up on gear ratios on the net and final drives etc but don't understand it at all. I have a Glanza V box here but isn't that the shortest Starlet box or would it be okay? I want something with fairly long gears because of the power I want to run, but obviously my diff must be able to fit...Any advice lads? Badly stuck here as I need to have a new box arranged my Monday...Thanks in advance,Browner.
Idrees
How about an EP82 GT gearbox? 3rd and 4th have noticably longer ratios than the Glanza gearbox.

The longer 3rd and 4th should suit me better. What about final drive? I see the longest final drive Toyota does is the 3.7Sorry for all the questions but gear ratios are all totally new to me so I'm only learning Cheers lads
