heatwrap - apply wet or dry

i have nothing to do as my car is broke and my turbo kit aint getting fitted anytime soon so i htought id use my wrap on the mani and downpipe to save me a job later on ... but my question is ???

i know its best to apply it wet for the exhaust so when it heats up it drys without expanding etc... but what about on the mani would making it wet be best or should i just wrap it when its dry ? people with wrap did you do it ..

definatly wet wrap, easier to move around branches.

Wear gloves too as its very itchy stuff.

i got mine from rally design and used the natural wrap. which is just as good as the thermotec

not sure if the cheap shizzle on ebay is any good though.

Ive done a few manifolds with n without gloves.

It's itchy. But usually when wet it's not that bad. I got a bowl of water. & dropped it in that.

Literally for a second. It didn't itch that much.

But some people say it's awfully itchy for days. I've never had a problem though.
