recently got new head on starlet after a year lol..

al piped up running ok.

when i rev her above 2k engine light comes on! havent took her for test drive or anything yet.

just wondering has anyone came across this?

Do a diagnostic mate, bridge terminals T1 and te1 in the diagnostic port under the bonnet and switch the ignition on but don't start it

count haw many times the engine light flashes, short pause then count the next.

eg **** ** is code 42

just bridge with bitta wire? and does it flash straight away ?

Yeah a paper clip is perfect mate,

It won't start flashing till you switch the igmition to the on position.

There's a chart somewhere on here that has the error codes on and what they mean

Cheers dude. I'll get her on the lift tomoz an av a look. Just strange The light only comes on wen I rev her :-/

Did you check your timing?

Could just be that the connector has come loose. or a faulty sensor

Yh timing seems good. She's running to well for it to be off. Hope it's a wire loose :-/
