Asad Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Totally random but thought id put this up here before calling some outWe got a new boiler put in its abit of a tank to be fair (Vaillant 838) and each time someones running the bath full whack and at the same time someones using the kitchen sink taps.....the hot water runs out the temp for the water is set at 44 and the pressure is reading 1.9 bar whats going on? any help greatly appreciated Asad Quote
The Toffinator Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Just turn the boost up, an electronic boost controller will safely take you to 2.5 bar with that model Quote
Blitz Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 valiants are pretty bomb proof but if its a combi which it is isnt it? sounds like your just trying to pull too much at the same time unfortunatley Quote
addz Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Is that a combi by any chanceWhat about when you keep bath tap half on, and then kitchen tap, does it flow through then better then Quote
Asad Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Yeah its a combi, tried all sorts to even out the water but its the same...surely having two different taps on shouldnt be a problem? Quote
Driver Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 The boiler can only heat so much water at a time and with there being no hot water tank theres no "reserve" sounds like the boiler just can heat enough water to do both at same time when there on full tilt. We had same issue here untill we got big ass self heating jacuzzi bath thing so didnt need the water to be as hot blah blah. Quote
addz Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 If it's a combi, it can only push out so much water to the taps. Depending on the KW of the boiler too. Combis were only designed for flats, or small houses where couples live (lower boiler demands).I would make sure all the stopcocks are open full if it's a new installation Quote
