lottie
Heya people im getting my mani and throttle body swapped from the n/a to the glanza ones. there are a few things we are not sure on though so if someone could help us this would be grand... the 4 pipes circled in red we dont know what to do with them as the n/a one only has 2. thats the first inquiry. the second inquiry is this nice pipe sticking out that isnt there on the n/a one. what do we do with this?the thrid inquiry is the blanked off bit circled purple. where this is on the n/a one i have a sensor how do i go about it lol. oh and i nearly forgot what do i do with the throttle cable as its too long? thank you p.s. sorry for the really noobish talk ;)
Asad
the N/A should have 4 pipes at the bottom not 2 check againthe pipe can be blocked off not sure about the sensor tho

5T4R7ET N/A
i didnt know you could use a 4EFTE throttle body on a n/a.i know that people use the inlet manifold and use another throttle body, like a celica or standard one??????someone correct me if im wrong. lottie
Well it should all fit on with the 4EFTE inlet mani but the TPS is missing off the 4EFTE TB and as far as I am aware this would of been 4 pin anyway and the 4EFE loom plug is 3 pin. Is there any way that a 3 plug TPS can be fitted or modded onto the TB. I still have the N/A one but it doesn't fit obviously. Also if the N/A TB is used on the 4EFTE mani the throttle cable is too long with the barrel adjusters wound out as far as they can go. Are the glanza and n/a throttle cables different in length?Your help is much appreciated guys and sorry for my noobiness
Asad
the throttle cable bracket will need to be moved over, remove the two 10mm bolts and move the throttle bracket so its only utilizing the one far bolt and the cable should fit (if your using the FTE manifold this is) ive had mine like this for ~1000miles and check it every so often to make sure its safe get someone to sit in the car to ensure theres no slack while you make sure the throttle body fully opens/closes
lottie
Asad I was thinking about this earlier and considering it but wondering about how safe it would be to leave it by just the one bolt I guess if it is on tight and checker reguarly it will be fine.I will have a think and have a look at modding the larger TB while I'm not doing much so the TPS works.Thanks. Asad
mine hasnt come loose yet and it gets given hell so it will be fine they have been fitted but as you have found there have been issues with the idle control valve and tps this is why i would go for the 7AFE throttle body if i was to upgrade to a 50mm bore throttle body they are a exact matchi really wouldnt fit it to a glanza inlet and a glanza throttle body yes they give power but its at the top end the and sacrifices alot of low down torque from what i can see, both the 1st gen 4efe and 4efte have a higher rev limit to make use of this i have a glanza manifold and 45mm throttle body which i feel is the best of both worlds, decent top end without loosing too much bottom end
