tr1cky
Pretty sure the dizzy will be the same. You could do with the 5E ECU,but ive heard of problems with the immobiliser. Your original ECU will work fine (so ive heard)I dont know about the flywheel, sorry. Ill be finding out soon though,im doing this swap very soon ye im gonna run it off the same ecu, sum 1 said you gotta swap the sumps so the exhaust can go around it but then some said you dont av to. im gonna be doin the swap this saturday hopefully so if all goes well il let you know what i had to change. this dizzy better wrk lol

GeeUK
Aint the clutch and flywheel a different application?
tr1cky
the clutches on the 4e an 5e are the same not sure bout the flywheel though
Martin E
The flywheel is different, the clutch is the same...I have a flywheel thats fit both 4E and 5E and it have 8 holes... one set matches the 4E and one set matches the 5E..Im thinking about a swap with the 5EFHE (110 HK) engine, since my 4EFTE needs a rebuild... whitestarlet
when i swapped the engines over the sump where the same. the 4efe gearbox was a straight swap. and the clutch and flywheel that i used where the 5efe
tr1cky
done the swap, shes a beast. gotta wait til my bans up now though to take it for a proper rip lol. all i had to do was swap the throttle boddies because the tps is different and swap the water temp sensor because there diff connectors, everything else went straight in. im pretty sure the flywheels are the same but the clutches definately are. i used the 4e clutch wiv the 5e flywheel, it started like the engines never been out. Flipside
I know I am reviving a very old post but here goes. Can I just change the head and block of my 4efe to a 5efe? My 4efe uses 2 coil packs instead of a distributor? Can this work or do I have a lot of other stuff to do?
