There was a guy selling one on ebay for £230 near reading i think, it didnt have a head so I didnt bother with it, but it was still for sale when i checked last. It was an ebay listing that ended with no bids, give him a msg

As you only need the crank and he hasnt sold it see if he can do a deal:)

i remember when i was building my car after the first 5e went kaboom i was planing on using my old crank from that engine but the person building the car sed to me that the crank is matched to the block that if you use a different 1 it might not match up and run bearings just something to thing about i dont think you want another engine gone i dont no how true this is tho but that was what i was told

That ones no good it has been reground and Mike doesnt now how far it has been ground down :/

I'm sure it says it's supplied with bearings, so why would you need to know how much it's been reground? Or you could ask the seller how much it has been ground.

Another crank will work fine, just as long it has the bearings to suit if it's been ground. If it hasn't been ground then you can fit the crank with OEM bearings and it will work fine. You could always double check with the machine shop if in doubt.

I spoke to Mike and he said it was up to me but he would rather me buy a used crank so that he can use his machine shop to machine it so he knows it is spot on, im not an expert at stuff like this so dont really no :/
