Looking under the car today I noticed on the botto

Of the turbo there was a little oil, I assume this is leaking from the oil return?( the bit which has two bolts and bolts to the bottom of the turbo?) as I recently had the turbo off to fit a ported mani.

I didn't change the gasket as it looked fine, but I assume this will need changing? Which is a bit of an awkward job bending the pipe down of is there an easier way to remove it for the job?

Cheers

Hmm is it easy to see that when on or does it need to come off?

I take it that's the metal pipe with the branch off it that broke? Will check mine when I'm off work but I checked the oil level and was fine yesterday, and there wasn't much oil on the bottom of the turbo

I've ordered the rubber pipe, and gaskets for the metal pipe so I'll see if I need the pipe as well :/

Yeah it had covered the whole bottom of the engine in oil and chassis legs.....etc and was clearly coming from the part where the metal pipe meets the flange onto the turbo. Luckily I caught it in time, if it's just a leaky gasket then try give the whole area a good wipe then run the car and look for where the fresh oil is coming from.

Ah I see, mine seemed to just have a small amount collected on the bottom of the turbo just to the right of that flange, so I assume that will just be the gasket?

If that's the case I'll replace that and look to get a braided part on payday
