steve-gers
What's the best way to change the transmission fluid in an auto? I've heard it's to remove the dipstick and suck the oil out with a suction pump and replace same amount of old oil removed with new stuff (around 5 litres?) but this doesn't replace the oil in the torque convertor? So if anyone could clear this up and how to change it all by the best method and also the amount of oil required that would be great.
00joeindastarb0
I just removed the sump plug and dropped it, then refill through the dipstick haven't had any problems
steve-gers
Ok cool how many litres roughly and was it dexron 3 that you used?

BoGlE
Drop it out of the box sump plug, refil through the distick. Your supposed to use dex2 but dex3 is better beacuse it doesnt create as many bubbles as 2. Therefore being a better lubricant. Ive always used it in mine. Also change the box filter if you can. youl have to take the sump of for that though
