Matt1878
Right, I seem to be boosting more than it should be. The spec of the car is:NGK HT leadsBlitz nur spec exhaustRelocated air filterTein springsAutogauge boost gaugeIt seems to just keep creeping on full boost from 0.6 to like 0.85 at which point my engine light comes on. I checked this in 4th as I still have standard mani on.What could cause this and what are the solutions?
funny onion
combination of free flowing exhaust and relocated filter mean you have a better flow of air, which will cause it to creep. the standard actuators are weak (and getting on abit now) so are likely to allow the boost to spike over standard boost. best bet is to get a hks actuator on it, and set it to 0.6 bar for now until you have fueling mods to support higher boost levels. So ill be looking to buy a HKS actuator anyways Thanks

Matt1878
That is cheap Shame I already have a decat. I wanted the blitz decat from the start though.
funny onion
the wepr power up kit has a shorted decat because the turbo sits a fair bit lower, but tbf i have a jperformance decat mounted to it and have had no issues at all so far. also the wepr decat has a screamer that mounts to the external wastegate, looks awesome haha. funny onion
well there are two "types" of screamer. there's a decat/screamer that a fair few people have. personally think these are pretty crap, they tend to blow on idle but the intention is that when the wastegate on the turbo opens it divorces the excess gases from the exhaust allowing them to escape easier/quicker. the screamer i was talking about is the one you would bolt onto an external wastegate, when you reach the spring pressure in the wastegate (in my case 0.8 bar) the wastegate opens, allowing the excess gases (which in your case are causing the overboosting) to escape via the screamer pipe. the screamer pipe is just there to direct the gases under the car, and it's not essential, you can run and external wastegate with no screamer attached and it will still work. my screamer is pretty shit but still sounds awesome. if you run an external wastegate with no screamer it will absolutely stink on full boost as all the excess exhaust gases go into the cabin. carbon monoxide is nay good! lol. this is where everybody will jump down my throat and tell me i'm wrong and that decat/screamers are awesome
