Taggy
After a month of not being able to build my engine as Wossner didnt have any piston rings world wide for my 74.5mm pistons. Then finding out that they are not going to get any more in for 6-9months I was not happy!Fired off a letter of complaint to the main office and got a reply this morning My original letter:HelloI have just purchased a new set of Wossner pistons for my Toyota Starlet GT,Specs of pistons here:http://i422.photobuc...99/IMAG0155.jpgHowever on fitting them one of the piston rings were damaged during assembly, in particular the middle ring. I didnt think much of this at the time as i knew with any large piston manufacture, getting replacement piston rings was a very common practice, after all the pistons are useless without them. My race engine build is currently on hold until i get these replacements, after nearly a month of ringing around and asking questions I have been bemused to find out that Wossner has no stock on these piston rings WORLDWIDE, and that I have also heard they are on back order with a potential lead time of 6-9 months before i can even think about ordering them.Firstly is this true? If so I want to make a formal complaint direct to customer relations for Wossner, I paid alot of money for the pistons choosing Wossner as i thought it was a brand that would be dependable, especially for replacement parts. Can you clear this up for me please, as a new customer you must understand that waiting 9 months for a set of piston rings on my brand new set of pistons is not acceptable. Do Wossner have any at all, after all i only need one ring the rest of them are fine.I look forward to your replyRegardsTHeir respones------------------------------Craig,We have the second ring here in stock, we can give you the ring at no charge if we ship on our UPS. Taggy
I have rang around everyone i knew that sold the pistons and no one anyone in europe or the states had stock of them. I dont know how they have suddenly said they have one now, maybe its because i said I only needed one ring, rather than the whole set.Either way i am happy as now, just dont bloody break these ones or i am really fooked lol!
